how to setup email reminder base on specific properties

Is there any possibility that I can set up an email reminder base on a property in a document type?

For example I have a due date and I would like to send an email reminder a week before due date.

Any Idea is much appreciated.

Don't think there is anything that does this at the moment, but could make a nice package. Why not give it a go?

I have done it before by creating a windows service but not with Umbraco!
