    Secure pages using a custom membership/role provider

    Hi All,

    For a new project (Umbraco 4.0.2.1) I'm using a custom membership provider. This is all fine, I can login etc. Now when I want to secure a page in umbraco I want to assign the role who can access the page, but the dialog tells me there are no roles available. Is it possible to assign roles from a custom membership provider to the pages, or can you only select roles using the Umbraco role provider?

    Hi Richard,

    Yeah that's possible, but you'll have to setup a custom role provider.

    Hi Tim,.

    Thanks for your quick answer. They have a custom role provider here. I've managed to Create a role via role -> Create in their database, however I can't list the roles. Do you know which method in the role provider is responsible to list the roles?
