    Update Umbraco with latest bug fixes without losing content

    Dear Umbraco Forum Team

    I would like to update my Umbraco installation to include only a bug fix. What is the best way to do so ?

    Hi Dibs,

    Why do you think you will loose content by upgrading?

    What version number of Umbraco are you using?

    Hi John

    I have a small site using .sdf file in App_Data folder. i'm using Umbraco 7.2.6, i just want to add a bug fix to the current version. Being new to Umbraco, i would download latest zip version, unzip and overwrite current folder structure with extracted files from downloaded zip.

    Hi Dibs,

    First I would take a backup of your current site, so you always can roll back if something went wrong with the upgrade.

    Then I would follow this guide doing the upgrade. https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/installation/upgrading/general
