    looking for search package

Hey ive been searching abit but with no luck, so I would try to post here to see if anyone know a package that could suit my needs :)

Im looking for an adv. package to help create a better search experience. the best would ofc. be if its based on the examine engine.

The 2 main features im looking for is :

    • synonym search(ofc we need to setup our on synonyms)
    • "Special" search(if you search for something instead of just showing the result you could show some special text block, again you should be able to setup)

Does anyone know about some packages that could help achive this or some of it ?

XSLT search isn't based on Examine, but still fast and it's very easy.

You can also have a look at the Full Text Search package.

Examine might still be the best solution. Here is a blog with more info: http://umbraco.com/follow-us/blog-archive/2011/9/16/examining-examine.aspx.

    Thx for inputs :)

But yea i think XSLT will become slow since we might be talkin 12-18k pages/nodes

Well I've got a website with 10k nodes and it's still pretty fast, but if you want to have the best performance you should go for Examine.
