We are having a site developed for us at the moment with 6 templates, mapping etc and then it is going to be installed on our web server. I will be managing a group of web editors who will be populating the content, making sure they use the templates correctly, add SEO, follow the laid out navigation, using google anlystics, also looking keep the site up-to-date with modern technology etc....
Will the V5 Level 1 training be a good course to go on for this type of role (Web Manager) or is this more for developers?
Since I have not yet attended any of the umbraco 5 courses I can't tell exactly what they will cover. But if it's anything like the v4 courses you will get a good introduction to the building blocks of Umbraco (Document types, templates and how to fetch the content using different techniques, how to structure the content section and media section and setting up different user types).
So even though some dev stuff like Razor also is being covered I think as a web manager that you can actually learn some nice things that are good to know when being in charge of Umbraco projects event though you won't be developing anything advanced in your position.
I will recommend that you attend since you will get some more background knowledge about what best practices are and what options you have etc.

Hi JM

You can read more about what is being covered at the level 1 course here: http://umbraco.com/products/training/schedule/view.aspx?id=150 and you can see where you can attend the courses here: http://umbraco.com/products/training/schedule.aspx
Hope this helps.
