Umbraco v4.7.1.1 - Best way to create in content 'webparts'

Hi all, first timer here, been using Umbraco for a month so go easy!

I've got quite a complex site to create, that would ideally require a lot of in content pane (and rightpane) parts of html.

    • Some parts are global, and need to be editable.
    • Some parts are page specific and are also editable within the tab of the page their written to .
Having one big 'Content' tab seems bonkers, even having a template dropper into the richtext area wouldn't cut it.(I wouldn't expect the author to know html, if any div's get broken it'll get in a mess (with for example 10 boxes of markup).
Also it would be great to add a part (like a box) to the rightpane, update the heading, content (rich) , and apply an image) and be able to shuffle it around in order. And add as many of those as I wish.
Umbraco seems to limited in content authoring, surly it's possible? nearly all example i've seen of webparts/widgets don't seem to run.
