    Hide Page from googlebots using Umbraco

    Hi How do I hide a page from googlebots? The page is hidden from navigation but can still be searched in google search engine.

    I have a robots.txt file in place, how do I add the link into the file?

    For example I want to hide a page

    www.testsite.com/en/hidepage

    I added into the Robots.txt file

    Disallow /en/hidepage

    However, the page can still be searched in google.

    Hi Antony

    You can also make it possible to choose wether a page on your site should have meta robots set to noindex,nofollow, which ensures that search engines won't index the page. You can read more about it here http://www.robotstxt.org/meta.html
